On 13 September 2025, I was delighted to hear my cantata A Plastic Theatre recieve its Australian premiere performance at the Sydney Opera House. The work was featured in Sydney Philharmonia Choirs’ concert A Child of Our Time, alongside Michael Tippett’s oratorio and a new piece by Alice Chance.

Performed by the youth choir VOX with mezzo-soprano Anna Dowsley and conducted by Elizabeth Scott, A Plastic Theatre explores the dual themes of plastic: both as an environmental threat and as a metaphor for human adaptability.
