    I probably wouldn't have thought of arranging 'In Winter's House', the choral piece I wrote for Tenebrae back in 2019, for string orchestra, but when Julian Azkoul got in touch and said he wanted to arrange it himself for an album, I thought, ummm okay then... So pleased I agreed! The strings give the music a whole new world to occupy with textures that move from pearlescent, almost translucent lines through to a sonorous richness that pulls out the stringence in the harmony.
